BMS Commissioning Technician – Sydney

Up to $150,000 + Super + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced BMS Commissioning Technician looking to work on some of Australia's most advanced mission-critical facilities?

We're partnering with a leading data centre operator to find a skilled BMS professional to join their growing team in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on hyperscale data centre projects, commissioning critical building automation systems that support world-class digital infrastructure.

The Role

As a BMS Commissioning Technician, you'll be responsible for the commissioning, testing and optimisation of Building Management Systems across new and existing data centre facilities. Working closely with project teams, contractors and commissioning managers, you'll ensure systems are delivered to the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission and validate BMS installations on large-scale data centre projects.
• Test and troubleshoot HVAC controls, mechanical plant and integrated systems.
• Complete point-to-point testing, functional testing and integrated systems testing.
• Support site acceptance testing (SAT) and integrated systems testing (IST).
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical and commissioning teams during project delivery.
• Identify and resolve system faults while maintaining detailed commissioning documentation.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with project specifications.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience commissioning Building Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and critical mechanical plant.
• Experience with platforms such as Niagara, Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens, Honeywell, Delta Controls, Distech or similar.
• Ability to interpret control drawings, sequences of operation and technical documentation.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Data centre or mission-critical experience is advantageous but not essential.
