Lead Electrical Engineer – Perth

An established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Lead Electrical Engineer to join its Perth team, working across major infrastructure and critical projects.

This is a senior technical role suited to an experienced electrical engineer who can lead electrical design packages, manage project delivery and provide technical guidance to both clients and internal teams.

The Role

  • Lead electrical engineering and design across major projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery.

  • Manage electrical design packages and provide technical direction to project teams.

  • Develop and review electrical calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.

  • Work across LV/MV electrical systems, power distribution, protection, controls and associated infrastructure.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, clients and other stakeholders.

  • Provide technical input into project planning, design reviews and engineering solutions.

  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.

  • Take responsibility for technical quality, project delivery and client outcomes.

  • Contribute to business development, proposals and maintaining strong client relationships.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.

  • Significant experience within an engineering consultancy or similar technical environment.

  • Strong background in electrical power systems and infrastructure design.

  • Experience leading electrical engineering packages and/or multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Strong understanding of Australian standards and engineering practices.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards CPEng would be advantageous.

  • Experience across critical infrastructure, data centres, mining, energy or major infrastructure would be highly regarded.
