Job Description

We are looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our team on a major project in Canary Wharf, London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong BMS engineer with commissioning experience who is looking to work on a high-profile commercial project within one of London's leading business districts.

The Role:

As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the testing, commissioning and handover of Building Management System installations, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet project specifications and client requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Commissioning BMS systems across commercial buildings and associated plant rooms.
• Testing and commissioning controllers, sensors, actuators and field devices.
• Carrying out point-to-point checks and I/O testing.
• Testing HVAC control strategies and sequences of operation.
• Fault finding and resolving BMS and controls issues.
• Working from electrical drawings, control schematics, points lists and project specifications.
• Carrying out functional performance testing.
• Assisting with integrated systems testing where required.
• Liaising with project managers, electrical/mechanical contractors and client representatives.
• Producing commissioning documentation, test sheets and handover information.
• Supporting final snagging and client demonstrations.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements.

About You - We are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer or Controls Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC control systems and building services.
• Experience commissioning BMS systems within commercial buildings.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics and control strategies.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, Schneider, Tridium/Niagara, Honeywell or similar.
• Good understanding of AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, heating and chilled-water systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A professional approach when working with clients and other contractors.
• Relevant electrical/BMS qualifications are desirable.
