Data Centre Commissioning Manager – Thailand

About the Role

We are working with a leading data centre engineering and commissioning specialist that is expanding its project delivery team across Thailand.

They are looking for an experienced Data Centre Commissioning Manager to take responsibility for the commissioning delivery of major mission-critical projects across Pattaya and Rayong.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commissioning professional with a strong background in data centres, mission-critical facilities, MEP systems and commissioning management to take a senior role on large-scale projects in Thailand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commissioning process across major data centre projects from planning through to final handover.
• Develop and manage commissioning strategies, plans, programmes and procedures.
• Coordinate commissioning activities across MEP systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, BMS and controls.
• Manage commissioning teams, subcontractors, vendors and specialist contractors.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, main contractors and project management teams.
• Review commissioning documentation, method statements, test scripts and inspection records.
• Oversee FAT, SAT, pre-functional testing, functional performance testing and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
• Ensure commissioning activities are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
• Identify and manage technical issues, defects and commissioning risks through to resolution.
• Lead Integrated Systems Testing and ensure critical systems perform as designed.
• Provide regular progress reporting to senior project stakeholders.
• Support the development and mentoring of commissioning engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager / Senior Commissioning Manager on data centre or other mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems within data centre environments.
• Experience managing large-scale commissioning programmes and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, controls and BMS.
• Experience with Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and complex mission-critical commissioning.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, contractors and vendors effectively.
• Strong understanding of commissioning documentation, procedures and quality control.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to be based in Pattaya or Rayong, Thailand and travel to project sites as required.
• Experience working on hyperscale, colocation or large-scale data centre projects is highly desirable.
