BMS Technician – Brisbane
Brisbane, QLD | Full-Time | Building Automation & Controls
We are currently working with a leading Building Automation and Controls specialist that is looking to add an experienced BMS Technician to its Brisbane team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure projects, providing hands-on technical support across BMS installation, service, maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning.
The Role
As a BMS Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, servicing and maintaining BMS and building automation systems
- Fault finding and troubleshooting BMS hardware, controllers, sensors and field devices
- Programming and modifying BMS control systems
- Commissioning BMS systems and ensuring they operate to specification
- Working with HVAC controls, AHUs, FCUs, chillers and associated plant
- Completing system upgrades, modifications and preventative maintenance
- Working with BACnet, Modbus and other common BMS communication protocols
- Reading electrical drawings, schematics and control diagrams
- Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams
- Providing technical support and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience working as a BMS / Building Automation Technician
- Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and building management systems
- Experience with BMS commissioning, service or maintenance
- Understanding of BACnet and/or Modbus
- Ability to fault-find electrical and controls systems
- Experience with platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Schneider, Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Distech or similar would be highly regarded
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- A relevant electrical, controls or HVAC qualification is advantageous
- Australian working rights
