Overview

Edison Smart are partnered with an international, fast-growing industrial technology company is looking for a Business Development Manager with a strong hunter mindset to expand its footprint within the Belgian industrial market.

This role is focused on new business development, targeting sectors such as energy, manufacturing, food, and pharmaceuticals. You will sell complex, high-value solutions around OT Security, industrial connectivity, monitoring, and risk management, working closely with technical experts to deliver tailored solutions that create long-term customer value.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively build and develop a new business pipeline with industrial clients across Belgium

  • Identify, qualify, and engage opportunities with C-level and operational stakeholders

  • Lead consultative sales discussions around OT Security, industrial connectivity, monitoring, and production risks

  • Translate complex technical challenges into clear business and strategic value

  • Collaborate closely with internal technical consultants to develop customised solutions and proposals

  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through to deal closure

  • Track industry trends and developments in industrial environments and OT Security, converting insights into new opportunities


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in solution selling or consultative B2B sales

  • Strong hunter profile with proven success in new customer acquisition

  • Experience selling into industrial environments (energy, pharma, food, manufacturing, etc.)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both C-level decision-makers and technical stakeholders

  • Knowledge of or exposure to OT Security, industrial networks, SOC/SIEM solutions is a strong advantage

  • Existing network within the industrial sector is highly desirable

  • Fluent Dutch, good working knowledge of English (French is a plus)

  • Self-driven, autonomous, and commercially sharp with a focus on value creation
