Job Title: Junior Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Overview
Edison Smart are seeking a motivated Junior SDR to join our growing Sales team. This role focuses on generating qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, engaging early-stage leads, and supporting Account Executives in developing new business opportunities. Candidates with exposure to IoT solutions or strong interest in the IoT market are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate qualified leads

Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers across assigned territories

Engage prospects to understand their challenges and positioning our IoT-focused solutions as a fit

Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives

Maintain accurate lead and activity data in the CRM

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and target lists

Support pipeline development initiatives and lead follow-up processes

Stay current on IoT market trends, buyer pain points, and competitive landscape

Contribute to team KPIs around outreach volume, meetings booked, and opportunity creation
Required Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role (tech or SaaS preferred)

Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal

Self-motivated with a proactive, resilient attitude toward outbound outreach

Experience or interest in IoT technologies or selling into technical environments

Ability to learn quickly, manage time effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms
