Service Technician – Electrical & BMS
Location: Central Coast & Newcastle, NSW

The Opportunity
A well-established building automation and controls specialist is seeking an experienced Service Technician with a valid Electrical Licence and Building Management Systems (BMS) experience to support a growing service portfolio across the Central Coast and Newcastle regions.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys fault finding, system optimisation, and working directly with clients across commercial and critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain, and troubleshoot Building Management Systems and associated control panels

Electrical fault finding on BMS, HVAC controls, and field devices

Diagnose and rectify system alarms, communication issues, and control faults

Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive service works

Support minor upgrades, modifications, and small works projects

Interface with clients, facility managers, and service coordinators

Complete service reports, compliance documentation, and job records
Key Requirements

Current NSW Electrical Licence (essential)

Proven experience working with BMS / HVAC control systems

Exposure to platforms such as Delta, Trend, Schneider, Siemens, or similar

Strong understanding of control wiring, sensors, actuators, and VSD interfaces

Ability to fault find using schematics, drawings, and software tools

Strong communication and customer service skills

Current Australian driver’s licence
Desirable Experience

Experience in commercial buildings, healthcare, or education environments

BMS service or commissioning background

Networking knowledge (BACnet/IP, Modbus, MSTP)
