We are seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join a leading building services contractor delivering major projects across commercial, healthcare, education, and technology sectors in Ireland. This role is based in Dublin, working on a variety of exciting projects focused on smart building technologies and energy-efficient automation solutions.

The Role

As a BMS Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, commissioning, and optimisation of Building Management Systems. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery, high-quality control standards, and reliable system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Commissioning, testing, and calibration of BMS and HVAC control systems

  • Interpreting and modifying control system schematics and electrical drawings

  • Carrying out fault-finding, diagnostics, and system optimisation

  • Supporting project delivery from design through to handover

  • Programming controllers and configuring graphics (Trend, Tridium, Siemens, or similar)

  • Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards

  • Providing technical support to clients and assisting with system upgrades

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in BMS engineering, commissioning, or controls integration

  • Proficiency with leading BMS platforms (e.g. Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Cylon, or Schneider)

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification (degree or diploma)

  • Strong understanding of HVAC plant and control systems

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a site-based project team
