Mechanical Commissioning Superintendent – Data Center

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Superintendent to join a major data center project in the USA. This is a hands-on site-based role, responsible for overseeing mechanical commissioning activities from installation through testing, integrated systems testing and final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate mechanical commissioning activities across the data center project.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of HVAC, chilled water, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers and associated mechanical systems.
• Manage subcontractors, commissioning engineers and specialist vendors on site.
• Review commissioning procedures, test scripts, MOPs and documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, electrical and client teams to ensure systems are ready for testing and handover.
• Identify and resolve commissioning issues while maintaining project schedules and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Superintendent, Lead, Manager or similar.
• Strong data center / mission-critical commissioning experience.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and commissioning processes.
• Experience with L1–L5 commissioning and IST.
• Strong leadership, communication and subcontractor management skills.
• Willingness to work on a site-based project and travel as required.
