Location: North Central US (Remote) – Must be based in IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, MO or WI

Overview

We're partnering with a rapidly growing cybersecurity vendor that is transforming how industrial organisations protect their Operational Technology (OT) environments. Due to continued growth, they're looking to hire a Senior Sales Engineer to support enterprise customers across the North Central US.

This is a customer-facing pre-sales role where you'll work alongside an experienced Regional Sales Director, providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. You'll engage with customers across critical infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities, energy and other industrial sectors, helping design secure OT architectures while acting as a trusted technical advisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales throughout the full pre-sales lifecycle, from discovery through to proof of value and technical close.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations and solution workshops to enterprise customers.
  • Understand customer requirements and design appropriate OT cybersecurity architectures.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers and channel partners.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to relay customer feedback and feature requests.
  • Enable and train partners to effectively position and support the solution.
  • Support post-sales technical discussions where required to ensure successful customer outcomes.
  • Travel throughout the North Central territory as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, Security Consultant, Solutions Architect or Systems Engineer.
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, switching, industrial networking). CCNA or equivalent is beneficial.
  • Experience with cybersecurity technologies and security best practices.
  • Understanding of Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS) or industrial networking.
  • Experience supporting enterprise customers in manufacturing, utilities, energy, transportation or critical infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Strong presentation, communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, CISM, CISA or similar are advantageous.
