- Review and approve commissioning test scripts, procedures, and method statements
- Oversee Level 1–5 commissioning activities, including FAT/SAT, start-up, and integrated systems testing (IST)
- Act as primary commissioning interface with the client, general contractor, design teams, and equipment vendors
- Drive resolution of technical issues, manage risk, and ensure timely close-out of punch lists and deficiencies
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality/safety standards throughout commissioning
- Report on commissioning progress, KPIs, and readiness to senior leadership and clients
- Champion continuous improvement of commissioning processes, documentation, and standards across the portfolio
Skills & Experience Required
- 10+ years' experience in electrical or mechanical commissioning within data centers or other mission-critical environments, including significant experience at a leadership/management level
- Proven track record managing commissioning teams and programs on large-scale, hyperscale, or enterprise data center projects
- Strong technical knowledge across electrical systems (generators, switchgear, UPS, paralleling/synchronization) and/or mechanical systems (chillers, cooling towers, CHW/CW piping, controls)
- Demonstrated experience leading Level 4/5 integrated systems testing programs
- Strong leadership, people management, and mentoring skills
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to interface confidently with clients and senior leadership
- Strong commercial and schedule awareness, with the ability to manage competing priorities across a fast-paced site
- Engineering degree strongly preferred; relevant industry certifications (e.g., NETA, ATD, CxA) advantageous
