BAS Estimator – Building Automation Systems

💰 $80,000 – $100,000 Base Salary + OTE + Benefits
🕒 Full-Time | Office-Based | Monday–Friday

A leading Building Automation Systems integrator in Dallas is seeking an experienced BAS Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in building controls, HVAC automation, or energy management systems looking to work on high-profile commercial projects across Texas.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for BAS projects, supporting both retrofit and new construction opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for Building Automation projects
• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform take-offs for controls systems, field devices, panels, and network infrastructure
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to develop project pricing
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
• Assist with bid submissions and project handovers

Requirements

• Previous experience estimating Building Automation / BAS / BMS projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and automation systems
• Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Niagara, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider, Trane, or Alerton
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings/specifications
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
