Job Title: Commissioning Engineer (Data Centres)
Location: United States (Project Sites) + Remote
Rotation: 2 Weeks On-Site / 1 Week Remote

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of mission-critical data centre projects across the United States. This role follows a 2:1 rotation, with two weeks on-site at project locations followed by one week working remotely.

You will play a key role in ensuring systems are installed, tested, and handed over to the highest standards, working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
• Develop and review commissioning plans, scripts, and procedures
• Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and client representatives
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements
• Support handover documentation and client training
• Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning phases

Requirements

• Proven experience in commissioning, ideally within data centres or mission-critical environments
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, UPS, generators, BMS)
• Familiarity with commissioning processes (Level 1–5 or equivalent)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work on a rotational basis across US project sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering
• Experience working on hyperscale data centre projects
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASHRAE, CxA, or similar frameworks
