Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract (With Extensions)
Rate: Competitive All-Inclusive Daily Rate (Negotiable DOE)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join a high-profile Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt. This is a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension, offering a long-term pipeline of work on cutting-edge hyperscale facilities.

You will play a critical role in ensuring all electrical installations meet the highest quality standards, industry regulations, and project specifications throughout the lifecycle of the build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement the QA/QC program for all electrical systems on site
  • Conduct inspections and audits of electrical installations (LV/MV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, containment, cabling)
  • Review and approve ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and method statements
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, IEC standards, and local regulations
  • Manage and track snagging, punch lists, and close-out documentation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives
  • Monitor testing & commissioning activities, including FAT/SAT where required
  • Maintain detailed QA/QC records, reports, and documentation
  • Support handover process including O&M manuals and as-built documentation

Requirements

  • Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in QA/QC roles on Data Centre or mission-critical projects
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • MV/LV distribution systems
    • UPS systems, generators, and critical backup infrastructure
    • Testing & commissioning processes
  • Familiarity with European standards (IEC, DIN/VDE)
  • Experience working with main contractors or large MEP contractors
  • Proven ability to manage QA/QC documentation and reporting systems
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Fluent English required (German is advantageous)

Desirable

  • Previous experience on hyperscale Data Centre projects
  • QA/QC certifications or relevant quality management training
  • Experience with digital QA/QC platforms (e.g., Procore, Aconex, BIM360)
