About the Role

A leading organisation within the warehouse automation sector is expanding its engineering capacity across multiple European projects. They are seeking experienced Siemens Automation Engineers to support commissioning and system development activities within advanced automated storage and retrieval environments.

This position is ideal for engineers strong in Siemens systems, with hands-on experience in commissioning automated equipment such as stacker cranes, conveyors, and high-bay storage technology. With multiple projects already planned through 2026, this role offers a long-term pipeline of innovative and technically challenging work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning and testing automated warehouse systems, including stacker cranes and storage/handling technology.
  • Supporting the migration of development work onto the company’s internal automation platforms.
  • Troubleshooting, optimisation, and on-site integration of Siemens-based automation systems.
  • Collaborating closely with internal engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Producing clear documentation, reporting, and updates throughout the commissioning lifecycle.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong experience working with Siemens PLC systems (TIA Portal, S7, or similar).
  • Previous exposure to warehouse automation, material handling, or AS/RS environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in commissioning, factory/field testing, and industrial automation integration.
  • Comfortable interpreting technical drawings, system architecture, and electrical schematics.
