Overview

Edison Smart is representing a global provider of enterprise IoT infrastructure and connected device solutions which enable enterprises to reduce costs, improve operational performance, and scale reliably across thousands of connected devices. They are looking for a Director of Sales to head up new enterprise business focusing on client portfolio which includes carrier-grade hardware, sensors, and end-to-end platforms supporting smart buildings, asset tracking, and connected healthcare environments

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Drive new enterprise business across the US, while leading strategic business development and full-cycle sales from prospecting to contract signature. 
  • Close complex, high-value enterprise deals
  • Translate advanced hardware and platform capabilities into clear commercial value
  • Build pipeline through outbound efforts, partners, and industry engagement
  • Lead enterprise discovery, align stakeholders, and drive deals to close
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with procurement and executives
  • Rapidly master the product portfolio and communicate technical value to business leaders
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to shape solutions and support proposals
  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, and territory planning

 

Experience & Profile 

  • 10+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, including enterprise-level selling
  • Demonstrated success closing complex hardware or platform-based solutions
  • Strong background in both sales execution and business development, with a proven ability to originate and close deals
  • Experience navigating multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
  • Ability to learn sophisticated technical products and confidently communicate value to both technical and commercial audiences
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and hardworking with strong territory management skills
  • Confident communicator in English, experienced in executive-level negotiations
  • Knowledge of LoRaWAN, smart building technologies, or IoT ecosystems is considered a strong advantage, though not mandatory
