Job Description

Senior Photonics Design Engineer | $250K + Equity | Santa Barbara, CA (Relocation Available)

Working with a well-funded photonics company building optical interconnects for data centres.

Ideal background:
• Photonic / PIC design across telecom/datacom transceivers
• Experience with lasers, modulators (MZMs), photodiodes, passive components
• End-to-end PIC lifecycle (design → layout → test → packaging)
• Strong simulation experience (Lumerical, RSoft, COMSOL, HFSS etc.)
• Layout tools (IPKISS, GDS, OptoCompiler)
• System-level modelling & working with measured data
• Test planning, validation, reliability & failure analysis
• High-speed optical systems experience (nice to have)

$250K base + equity
On-site Santa Barbara | Relocation supported (North America)
