Overview

Edison Smart are seeking a motivated Junior SDR to join our growing Sales team. This role focuses on generating qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, engaging early-stage leads, and supporting Account Executives in developing new business opportunities. Candidates with exposure to IoT solutions or strong interest in the IoT market are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate qualified leads

  • Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers across assigned territories

  • Engage prospects to understand their challenges and positioning our IoT-focused solutions as a fit

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives

  • Maintain accurate lead and activity data in the CRM

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and target lists

  • Support pipeline development initiatives and lead follow-up processes

  • Stay current on IoT market trends, buyer pain points, and competitive landscape

  • Contribute to team KPIs around outreach volume, meetings booked, and opportunity creation

Required Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role (tech or SaaS preferred)

  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal

  • Self-motivated with a proactive, resilient attitude toward outbound outreach

  • Experience or interest in IoT technologies or selling into technical environments

  • Ability to learn quickly, manage time effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms
