BMS Project Engineer – Dublin

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced BMS Project Engineer to join a leading Building Automation business in Dublin. This role offers the chance to work on some of Ireland’s most innovative and sustainable building projects, delivering intelligent control systems that drive performance, comfort, and energy efficiency.

The Role:
As a BMS Project Engineer, you’ll take ownership of projects from design through to completion — managing technical delivery, coordination, and client communication throughout the process. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure systems are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, engineer, and commission Building Management Systems for commercial and industrial projects.

  • Prepare technical documentation including control panel schematics, points lists, and system architecture drawings.

  • Program and configure BMS controllers and graphics (Niagara, Tridium, or similar platforms).

  • Oversee on-site installation and commissioning activities.

  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Manage project timelines, costs, and technical deliverables.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting throughout the project lifecycle.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a BMS Project Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control principles.

  • Experience with Tridium Niagara, Trend, Siemens, or Distech systems.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.

  • Relevant electrical, mechanical, or controls engineering qualification.

  • Full driver’s licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
