Principal Hardware Engineer
Location: Surrey, UK
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 pa
Introduction:
A global Defence & Security company are looking for a Principal Hardware Engineer to join their specialist consulting engineering team designing bespoke RF devices. You will be designing products from concept to release, using key electronics design theory & principals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects of the design and development of high-speed electronic circuits and PCBs.
- Select and specify components for robust hardware solutions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across electronics, software, and signal processing.
- Take full technical ownership of product design responsibilities and the engineering lifecycle, from concept through to deployment.
- Lead projects to meet OTD and technical requirements.
- Contribute to rapid design cycles and technical problem solving.
Key Skills/Experience:
Required:
- PCB design & layout
- Schematic capture
- Circuit design & simulation
- High Speed & Digital circuit design
- FPGA architectures
- Full product design lifecycle experience
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (full, unrestricted)
- Willingness to work onsite in a secure environment
