Principal Hardware Engineer
Location: Surrey, UK
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 pa

Introduction:

A global Defence & Security company are looking for a Principal Hardware Engineer to join their specialist consulting engineering team designing bespoke RF devices. You will be designing products from concept to release, using key electronics design theory & principals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead projects of the design and development of high-speed electronic circuits and PCBs.
• Select and specify components for robust hardware solutions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across electronics, software, and signal processing.
• Take full technical ownership of product design responsibilities and the engineering lifecycle, from concept through to deployment.
• Lead projects to meet OTD and technical requirements.
• Contribute to rapid design cycles and technical problem solving.

Key Skills/Experience:

Required:

• PCB design & layout
• Schematic capture
• Circuit design & simulation
• High Speed & Digital circuit design
• FPGA architectures
• Full product design lifecycle experience
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance (full, unrestricted)
• Willingness to work onsite in a secure environment

Beneficial/Nice to have’s:

• Experience with regulated environments & industries (Medical, Defence, Aerospace, Automotive etc.)
