Local Technical Sales – Power
Location: Tokyo, Japan

Job Description

You will be the primary technical resource for Power Management solutions in Japan, providing engineering support and application expertise to the Sales and Channel teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and application support for Power products to Sales and Channel teams.

  • Advise on Power product selection, application, and system design.

  • Design and provide installation guidance for Power Systems.

  • Prepare technical proposals, drawings, and design presentations.

  • Generate Bills of Quantity and provide technical specifications for proposed designs.

  • Configure products for FAT and submit SFA/ETO requests as required.

  • Support marketing initiatives by enabling customers, partners, and consultants at local events.

  • Conduct Power product training sessions (new or refresher) for sales teams and partners.

  • Assist account management efforts for consultants, contractors, and end users to support bid success.

  • Collaborate with the regional product team on Go-To-Market programs and New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Strong technical knowledge and application expertise in Power systems (UPS) and electrical distribution design.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in data center facilities, Power systems, product sales, or marketing.

  • Experience in data center design is preferred.

  • Strong learning agility and ability to stay current with trends and strategic developments in the industry.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong presentation skills for both customers and internal teams.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 20% travel within the region.
