Edison Smart is supporting a leading international lighting technology company looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Danish market.

This is a commercially focused position combining new business development, channel sales, key account management and specification sales.

You’ll work closely with partners, consultants, specifiers, building owners and end users to identify projects, increase product specification and develop long-term commercial relationships.

The Role

You will:

  • Develop new business opportunities across Denmark.

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing channel partners.

  • Identify and onboard new partners and customers.

  • Build relationships with consultants, specifiers, building owners and end users.

  • Influence projects from initial specification through to delivery.

  • Support partners with project opportunities, commercial negotiations and sales activity.

  • Develop joint business plans and revenue targets with partners.

  • Build and manage a strong project pipeline.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and maintain activity through CRM.

  • Support partners with product knowledge and basic sales/product training.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the local competitive landscape.

  • Become a recognised commercial presence within the Danish lighting controls market.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in speaking with candidates who have:

  • A proven track record in B2B sales or business development.

  • Experience managing channel partners, distributors or similar partner relationships.

  • Experience developing new business and winning new customers.

  • Understanding of specification-led or project-based sales.

  • The technical credibility to discuss solutions with customers, consultants and partners.

  • Experience managing opportunities through the full sales cycle.

  • Strong relationship-building and commercial negotiation skills.

  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of a territory.

Experience within lighting, lighting controls, building automation or smart buildings would be particularly relevant.
