Edison Smart is partnered with a high-growth AI FinTech company in Dubai that is expanding its engineering team following significant customer and product growth.

They are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers, owning technical deployments and building the integrations, workflows and product capabilities needed to take the platform into production.

This is a highly technical, hands-on position sitting between Software Engineering, Product and the customer.

Responsibilities

• Own customer deployments from technical discovery through to production.
• Work directly with customers to understand complex technical and business requirements.
• Build backend services, APIs and integrations using Python and FastAPI.
• Integrate the platform with customer systems, data sources and existing infrastructure.
• Build bespoke workflows and product capabilities around individual customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues across application, data, API and infrastructure layers.
• Prototype and ship solutions quickly alongside the core engineering team.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable capabilities within the core platform.
• Work closely with engineering, product and commercial teams throughout deployments.

Requirements

• Strong Software Engineering background with commercial Python experience.
• Experience building production APIs and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, databases and system integrations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Cloud experience across Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and modern deployment environments.
• Previous experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Ability to operate across engineering, product and customer-facing environments.
• Comfortable solving ambiguous technical problems with significant ownership.
• Experience within AI, FinTech, financial services or complex data platforms would be advantageous.
