BMS Commissioning Technician
Sydney, NSW | Up to $140,000 + Super + Vehicle
Are you an experienced BMS Commissioning Technician looking to work on landmark commercial and mission-critical projects across Sydney?
We're partnering with a well-established Building Automation specialist that has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality BMS solutions across commercial offices, healthcare, education, industrial and data centre environments. Due to continued project wins and business growth, they're looking to expand their commissioning team.
The Role
As a BMS Commissioning Technician, you'll play a key role in the delivery of Building Management Systems from installation through to commissioning and client handover. You'll be responsible for ensuring systems are fully operational, optimised and delivered to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission Building Management Systems on new-build and refurbishment projects.
- Perform point-to-point testing, functional testing and system validation.
- Diagnose and resolve software, hardware and network communication faults.
- Configure controllers, field devices and BMS graphics.
- Commission HVAC plant including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers and ventilation systems.
- Work alongside project engineers, electricians and mechanical contractors during project delivery.
- Complete commissioning documentation and support project handovers.
- Provide technical support during defects and post-handover activities.
About You
- Previous experience commissioning Building Management Systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and mechanical services.
- Experience working with platforms such as Delta Controls, Niagara, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Honeywell, Distech or similar.
- Understanding of BACnet, Modbus and IP-based communication protocols.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a project team.
- Experience on data centre or other critical infrastructure projects is highly regarded but not essential.
