BMS Service Technician – Sydney

Salary: Up to $140,000 + Super + Company Vehicle + Tools

An established Building Management Systems specialist is looking to add an experienced BMS Service Technician to its growing Sydney team.

With a strong reputation across commercial buildings, healthcare and critical infrastructure, the business is also delivering an increasing number of Data Centre projects, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build long-term experience within the mission-critical sector.

The Role

You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on a wide range of BMS installations across Sydney, supporting a portfolio of high-profile customers. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and project teams, with opportunities to get involved in upgrades, commissioning and data centre projects.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and reactive fault finding on BMS systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and controls issues.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and system health checks.
• Support commissioning and small project upgrades where required.
• Liaise with clients and provide a high level of customer service.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a BMS/Building Automation Service Technician.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Niagara, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Trend or Distech.
• Strong fault-finding skills across HVAC controls and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of BACnet, Modbus and IP-based networks.
• Electrical qualification or relevant controls experience is highly regarded.
• Full Australian working rights.
