Data Center Commissioning Engineers — Electrical & Mechanical
Leading Data Center Developer | Multiple Levels | Multiple US Locations
We're expanding our Commissioning team and hiring Electrical and Mechanical Commissioning Engineers at three levels across our active data center campuses.
Levels: Level 1 (Mid-Level) | Level 2 (Senior) | Level 3 (SME) Disciplines: Electrical Bias / Mechanical Bias Locations: Utah | Georgia | North Carolina | Iowa (must be comfortable based on-site)
Level 1 — Commissioning Engineer (Mid-Level)
Responsibilities: Support Level 1–5 commissioning activities; review vendor docs and test scripts; witness FAT/SAT and equipment start-up; track punch list items; maintain commissioning records. Skills: 3+ years' electrical/mechanical commissioning (data center or mission-critical preferred); can read electrical/mechanical drawings, P&IDs, SLDs; strong attention to detail; relevant trade/engineering qualification.
Level 2 — Senior Commissioning Engineer
Responsibilities: Lead commissioning for a system/package; develop test scripts and sequences; lead Level 4/5 IST; mentor Level 1 engineers; manage punch lists and close-outs; liaise with design/contractor teams. Skills: 6+ years' commissioning experience with proven IST/Level 5 leadership; strong technical depth in electrical (generators, switchgear, UPS) or mechanical (chillers, cooling towers, controls) systems; strong stakeholder management; engineering degree preferred.
Level 3 — SME Commissioning Engineer
Responsibilities: Act as technical authority across sites; shape commissioning strategy from design through energization; resolve complex technical issues; represent commissioning to clients; drive process improvement; provide QA oversight across teams. Skills: 10+ years' commissioning experience with deep hyperscale/enterprise data center expertise; recognized authority in electrical or mechanical systems; track record leading commissioning on multiple large-scale projects; senior stakeholder management; engineering degree and relevant certifications (NETA, ATD, CxA) advantageous.
