Business Development Manager - Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions

Tokyo, Japan (On-Site)

 

We are partnering with a leading global technology solutions provider to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to drive enterprise sales growth across the Japanese market.

This role is ideal for a proven hunter with a strong track record of winning new business, developing strategic customer relationships and selling complex IT infrastructure solutions into enterprise organisations.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers and driving revenue growth across networking, data centre and modern workplace solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities and acquire net-new enterprise customers.
  • Build and execute account development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and contract closure.
  • Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers within enterprise accounts.
  • Understand customer business challenges and align technology solutions to their strategic objectives.
  • Position and sell infrastructure, networking, data centre and workplace technology solutions.
  • Work closely with technical and pre-sales teams to develop customer proposals and solution strategies.
  • Expand existing customer relationships through cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast within CRM systems.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed assigned sales targets.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Technology Sales, Business Development or Account Management.
  • Proven track record of selling IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Networking, Data Centre or Managed Services solutions.
  • Strong new business hunting experience with a focus on net-new logo acquisition.
  • Experience managing complex and consultative sales engagements.
  • Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Native or fluent Japanese language skills.
  • Business-level English communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent commercial experience.

 

Highly Desirable

  • Experience selling into Banking and Financial Services customers.
  • Existing relationships across enterprise organisations within Japan.
  • Experience working with technologies and solutions from vendors such as Cisco, HPE, Juniper, Dell Technologies, VMware and related infrastructure providers.
  • Experience carrying annual sales targets in excess of USD 3M.
