About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established electrical manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical panel projects from concept through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing project strategies, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving successful project delivery throughout the full project lifecycle.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale electrical panel manufacturing projects, ensuring all deliverables meet customer specifications, quality standards, and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & Execute Strategic Project Plans
  • Lead the planning and delivery of large-scale electrical panel projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Budget & Resource Management
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources while proactively addressing constraints to keep projects on track, within scope, and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary point of contact between internal departments, customers, vendors, and external partners to coordinate milestones and resolve project-related issues.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory codes and safety standards, including UL891, UL508A, and UL67 related to electrical panel and switchboard manufacturing.
  • Technical Leadership
  • Provide guidance and support to multidisciplinary project teams, leveraging strong technical expertise to drive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Project Review & Process Improvement
  • Conduct regular project reviews, monitor KPIs, and implement workflow improvements to maximize efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
  • Client & Vendor Relations
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and vendors to support successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • PM Software & Systems Oversight
  • Support the implementation and effective use of project management tools and software across project teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience managing projects within electrical manufacturing, switchgear, controls, or a related technical environment
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or a similar discipline is preferred
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and industry compliance standards, including UL891, UL508A, and UL67
  • Proven track record delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget
  • Ability to effectively manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to monitor costs and project performance
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is considered an advantage
