Senior Solutions Architect
Remote
35-50% travel
Up to $175,000
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with monitoring, control systems, or real-time data platforms
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Systems Architect, or similar role
- Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, Rockwell, Ignition, and EPMS systems preferred
- Architecture or cloud certifications are a plus
- Willingness to travel 30–50%
- Typical hours Monday–Friday, with flexibility as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end architectures for mission control systems, including data collection, processing, visualization, and control platforms
- Define architecture standards, best practices, and scalable solutions
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance
- Integrate infrastructure, applications, and monitoring tools into unified systems
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors to ensure interoperability
- Lead design reviews and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Provide guidance throughout implementation, testing, and deployment
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities
- Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements
- Contribute to long-term technology planning
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems
- Experience integrating BMS and EPMS systems, with knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems
- High-availability and resilience design expertise
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
