BAS Design Engineer – Building Automation Contractor (Onsite | Dallas, TX)
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:

As a BAS Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design, documentation, and implementation of building automation systems. You’ll collaborate with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality system designs from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review BAS system designs, control drawings, and submittals

  • Create point lists, sequence of operations, and network layouts

  • Select and specify controllers, sensors, and field devices

  • Coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers, contractors, and end users

  • Support project execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting as needed

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, codes, and client specifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of BAS design or engineering experience with major platforms (Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Distech, etc.)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design software

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control theory

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
