BMS Commissioning Engineer – Melbourne

We are seeking a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join a growing Building Automation team based in Melbourne. This position offers the chance to work on a variety of high-profile commercial and industrial projects, delivering intelligent building control solutions that enhance comfort, energy efficiency, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Commission, test, and calibrate Building Management Systems (BMS) on new and existing projects.

  • Program and configure controllers, field devices, and front-end interfaces.

  • Verify system performance and functionality against project specifications.

  • Work closely with project managers, electricians, and mechanical contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation and handover phases.

  • Produce accurate commissioning reports, documentation, and as-fitted data.

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience commissioning Building Management Systems (experience with Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, or Distech preferred).

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies.

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring, schematic, and control diagrams.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and coordination abilities for working across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Australian work rights and a full driver’s licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience with graphics configuration and BMS integration to third-party systems (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).

  • Knowledge of energy management or smart building technologies.
