Mechanical Engineer – Energy Optimization
Are you passionate about energy efficiency and mechanical systems? We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help drive energy conservation and performance improvements across commercial building projects. In this role, you’ll develop and implement energy-saving strategies, provide technical support, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver real impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Create and apply energy conservation standards that meet or exceed industry codes.
- Ensure projects comply with all safety, code, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead safe and efficient project implementation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues using performance data and system insights.
- Collaborate with engineering, measurement & verification, and client teams to optimize results.
- Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory partners.
- Contribute to energy-saving projects, implementation plans, and capital upgrades.
- Deliver clear project updates and performance reports.
- Travel: 5%–8%.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in energy conservation, energy accounting, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of HVAC system design and operations (chillers and boilers experience a plus).
- Knowledge of Honeywell systems.
- Skilled in ROI (Return on Investment) analysis.
- Experience optimizing mechanical systems through controls and energy management.
- Comfortable contributing to business plans and leading cross-functional projects.
