About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced BAS Controls Programmer to join our client’s growing team in Austin, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking building automation contractor that delivers smart solutions across commercial and industrial projects.

As a BAS Controls Programmer, you’ll play a key role in programming, configuring, and commissioning building automation systems to ensure optimal performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, test, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS), including HVAC controls and energy management systems.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

  • Develop graphics, sequence logic, and integration with third-party systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during and after installation.

  • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in BAS programming (e.g., Tridium, Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and networking protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Must be able and willing to work onsite at the Austin office.

  • Minimal travel required between Austin and Dallas for project support.
