Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 per year

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced BAS Controls Programmer to join our client’s growing team in Austin, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking building automation contractor that delivers smart solutions across commercial and industrial projects.
As a BAS Controls Programmer, you’ll play a key role in programming, configuring, and commissioning building automation systems to ensure optimal performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:

Program, test, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS), including HVAC controls and energy management systems.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Develop graphics, sequence logic, and integration with third-party systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during and after installation.

Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
Requirements:

3+ years of experience in BAS programming (e.g., Tridium, Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or similar).

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and networking protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Must be able and willing to work onsite at the Austin office.

Minimal travel required between Austin and Dallas for project support.
