Senior Robot Learning Engineer
London (on-site) | Competitive base + equity

We're working with a well-funded robotics company in London building general-purpose robots that are already deployed in real industrial environments. They're growing their learning team and looking for a Senior or Staff Robot Learning Engineer to develop learning-based control policies that run on real hardware.

What you'll do
• Design and train reinforcement learning policies for dynamic, contact-rich robot behaviours
• Build scalable simulation and training pipelines
• Design reward functions, observation spaces and curricula for complex behaviours
• Improve sim-to-real transfer and deploy policies on physical robots
• Work closely with controls and robotics engineers to integrate policies into the control stack

What they're looking for
• MS or PhD in Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Science or a related field
• Strong reinforcement learning experience (PPO, SAC or offline RL)
• A track record of applying RL to real robots or physical systems
• Experience with physics simulation environments
• Strong Python and/or C++

Nice to have
• Experience with dynamic or whole-body behaviours
• Sim-to-real transfer experience
• Background in robot dynamics or control
