Staff Electrical Engineer (Power/Batteries) | Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid) | Up to $250,000

Join a well-backed stealth startup, who are building optical and laser systems for the space and defense industries.

As a Staff Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead the design and build of high voltage, high current power and energy storage hardware. This position will own power hardware, including unique systems including high voltage in altitude and vacuum.

Due to defense work, you’ll be required to be a US citizen to be considered for the position.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design high voltage, high current power conversion and distribution.
• Lead Battery and Energy Storage
• Design for altitude and vacuum environments
• Lead prototype assembly
• Perform analysis and verification.

Skills/Technologies

• Proven experience in designing power electronics
• Battery Systems architecture.
• High current converter design.
• Understanding of space, airborne, or defense systems.
