Job Title: Field Application Engineer – Edge AI

Location: US Remote (Silicon Valley preferred)

Salary: $220,000-240,000 Base + Bonus (80/20 split)

A fast-growing semiconductor company developing high-performance AI processors for edge computing applications across automotive, industrial, retail, and smart infrastructure markets.

About the Role

Seeking a customer-facing FAE to support evaluation, integration, and deployment of advanced AI processor solutions. You will work closely with customers, sales, and R&D teams to drive successful design-ins across edge AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers integrating AI processor platforms
• Support system bring-up, debugging, and performance optimisation
• Assist with AI model integration using embedded AI software stacks
• Deliver technical demos, presentations, and customer training
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and AI inference issues
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams on customer requirements and feedback

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of embedded software or applications engineering experience
• Strong experience with embedded Linux, C/C++, and Python
• Knowledge of SoCs, AI inference pipelines, and computer vision workloads
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or ONNX
• Strong debugging and customer communication skills
• Willingness to travel regularly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Edge AI SoCs, GPUs, NPUs, or AI accelerators
• Familiarity with camera systems, ISPs, or video pipelines
• Understanding of AI performance metrics and edge AI applications
