Mechanical Design Engineer – Robotics
Location: Austin
Salary: Up to $150,000 | On-Site

I’m currently partnering with an exciting robotics start-up in Austin that is scaling its core engineering team and looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in robotic systems.

This is a high-impact opportunity for an engineer who has taken products from concept through to testing and production, and who thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving start-up environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in the mechanical development of advanced robotic systems, owning designs from early-stage concepts through prototyping, validation, and production release.

This is not a siloed design role. You’ll be involved in building, testing, iterating, and working cross-functionally with electrical and software teams to bring real hardware to life.

What They’re Looking For

• Proven experience designing robotic or robotic systems
• Full lifecycle product development experience (concept → build → test → production)
• Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, NX or similar)
• Experience with precision mechanical assemblies and mechanisms
• Hands-on prototype build and validation testing experience
• Comfortable operating in a start-up environment where priorities evolve
• Strong ownership mindset and problem-solving ability
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
