Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manager – Solution Architect, Connectivity

Location: UAE
Function: Network Architecture / Solution Design

Role Overview

The Senior Manager – Solution Architect, Connectivity is responsible for translating customer requirements into scalable, high-performance connectivity solutions across hyperscaler, data center, and global enterprise networks. This role combines technical solution design, operational feasibility validation, and pre-sales support, ensuring all designs meet performance, resilience, and SLA requirements while aligning with approved reference architectures and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Translate customer requirements—latency, route diversity, redundancy, SLA tiers, capacity timelines, on-net locations—into feasible solution designs.

  • Produce high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) solution designs in line with reference architectures and technical standards.

  • Validate end-to-end delivery feasibility, including build scope, capacity availability, lead times, operational ownership, and run/support models.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Support Sales teams by presenting proposed architectures, service models, and delivery approaches to customers.

  • Identify technical constraints, conditions, or potential risks during pre-sales engagements.

  • Ensure solutions comply with internal standards, industry best practices, and agreed service assurance models.

Solution Evolution & Continuous Improvement

  • Adapt and refine solution designs in response to evolving customer priorities (e.g., tighter latency, additional route diversity, accelerated capacity), maintaining feasibility.

  • Highlight design gaps, route limitations, resilience risks, and inter-DC constraints observed during live opportunities and escalate for resolution.

Documentation & Governance

  • Prepare structured solution documentation, including architecture descriptions, technical baselines, bills of materials, configuration rules, delivery dependencies, SLA obligations, and resilience models to support proposals, contracts, and handover to delivery teams.

  • Maintain up-to-date solution templates, design collateral, and standards to ensure repeatability and reduce custom engineering effort.

  • Drive feasibility studies, business cases, and pricing approvals for required offerings.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Product Management, Network Engineering, Delivery, and Operations teams to ensure solutions are commercially viable and operationally executable.

  • Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with strategic connectivity goals.

Key Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 7+ years’ experience in network solution architecture or connectivity engineering for hyperscaler, enterprise, or carrier networks.

  • Proven experience translating complex customer requirements into operationally feasible network solutions.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of hyperscaler, enterprise, and data center connectivity solutions including DCI, DWDM, dark fibre, IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and global WAN architectures.

  • Hands-on experience in high-capacity, low-latency, and multi-terabit network environments.

  • Skilled in creating HLDs, LLDs, BoMs, configuration standards, and operational handover documentation.

Business & Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly to internal teams and customers.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and commercial functions.
