Electrical Engineer – Advanced Medical Devices
Location: White Plains, NY (On-Site)
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000
A fast-growing medical technology company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development of a next-generation automated lab device. This role involves designing complex electrical systems that seamlessly integrate with precision electromechanical components, embedded systems, and software platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create system-level schematics, PCB layouts, and power distribution networks
- Design analog/digital circuits for sensor integration and control systems
- Build and prototype cable harnesses and embedded hardware
- Develop low-level device control software
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues across dev and production
- Support test procedures, compliance efforts, and FDA documentation
- Drive improvements in design, testing, and manufacturability
- Participate in risk assessments and design reviews
Key Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (Or another relevant discipline)
- PCB design & layout
- Schematic capture
- Previous experience in designing complex electro-mechanical systems, ideally in a regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of motor control and analog systems
- Experience with Embedded Systems & Firmware
- Comfortable in Linux environments
- Familiarity with FPGA platforms
- Hands-on with oscilloscopes, test benches, soldering, and wiring
- Knowledge of regulatory standards: FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 60601 etc.
