The Opportunity
We are working with a high-growth technology business operating in the digital assets and financial technology sector. With a team of 100+ employees and continued international expansion, the business is looking for a Head of HR to take ownership of the people function and help build the organisational infrastructure required for its next stage of growth.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership position working closely with the executive team. The successful candidate will shape people strategy, build scalable HR and talent processes, strengthen the employee experience and ensure the organisation has the leadership, structure and talent required to continue scaling internationally.
The Role
You will own the full HR and People agenda, spanning talent acquisition, organisational development, culture, employee engagement, performance, compensation, HR operations and compliance.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You will be expected to build structure where required, develop and lead the HR team, partner directly with senior leadership and use data to improve the way the organisation attracts, develops and retains talent.
Key Responsibilities
Scaling & Talent Acquisition

Develop and execute a people and hiring strategy aligned with continued business growth

Build and lead an effective recruitment function across technical and non-technical teams

Establish scalable sourcing, employer branding and structured interview processes

Partner with department leaders on workforce planning, organisational design and headcount requirements

Develop competitive compensation and benefits frameworks informed by relevant technology and digital asset markets

Establish recruitment metrics and improve time-to-hire, quality-of-hire and overall candidate experience

Build talent pipelines for critical and senior positions
Culture & Retention

Own and continuously develop the company's culture as the organisation grows

Ensure company values are reflected in leadership, management and day-to-day employee experience

Design effective onboarding programmes that accelerate productivity and integration

Develop career frameworks, levelling structures and internal mobility programmes

Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives using measurable data and employee feedback

Establish effective feedback mechanisms, pulse surveys and action plans

Develop recognition, communication and employee experience initiatives that support a strong international culture
Leadership & HR Operations

Act as a senior strategic advisor to the executive leadership team on people-related matters

Translate business strategy into clear people priorities across the organisation

Support leadership communication and organisational alignment during periods of growth and change

Lead, mentor and develop the HR/People team

Oversee performance management, leadership development and manager capability programmes

Establish and maintain robust HR policies, employment practices and contracts

Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation across relevant jurisdictions

Own HR systems, people analytics and reporting

Use workforce data and insights to support strategic decision-making

Support organisational restructuring, workforce planning and senior-level people decisions where required
What We're Looking For
Required
-
8+ years of progressive HR or People experience
-
At least 3 years operating in a senior HR leadership position such as Head of HR, HR Director, VP People or equivalent

Proven experience scaling organisations through significant growth, ideally beyond 100 employees

Strong track record of building or significantly developing talent acquisition and recruitment functions

Demonstrated experience improving employee engagement, retention and organisational effectiveness

Strong knowledge of compensation, performance management, organisational development and HR operations
-
Comfortable operating as a builder, establishing processes and infrastructure while remaining hands-on
-
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect people strategy with business objectives

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with executive leadership and boards

Based in or willing to relocate to Poland or the UAE
Nice to Have

Experience within crypto, Web3, fintech, financial services or another technology sector undergoing significant regulatory and market change

Experience managing HR across multiple countries and jurisdictions

Previous experience supporting internationally distributed teams

Familiarity with employment markets and regulations in Poland and/or the UAE

SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD or equivalent professional qualification

Advanced degree in HR, business, organisational psychology or a related discipline

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR leader who has operated in a genuine scale-up environment and understands how to build the people infrastructure required as an organisation moves beyond 100 employees.
You will be comfortable working directly with senior executives while also getting into the detail when required. You should have strong recruitment and talent expertise, but also understand culture, organisational design, compensation, performance and international HR operations.
Experience within crypto, fintech, Web3 or technology is particularly relevant, although candidates from other high-growth and internationally distributed businesses may also be considered.
Location
The position can be based in Poland or the UAE, with a hybrid working model.
