Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Building Automation Sales Engineer to manage and grow the wholesaler account portfolio. In this role, you will serve as a technical and commercial resource for distributors that sell HVAC and building automation products. You will work directly with wholesale partners to support product selection, drive sales, provide training, and ensure a top-tier customer experience. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys combining technical expertise with relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Sales Growth

  • Develop, maintain, and grow strong relationships with building automation wholesalers.

  • Understand customer needs, product gaps, and opportunities.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive account expansion and product promotion.

Technical Support & Product Expertise

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on building automation products, including sensors, actuators, controllers, and networking components.

  • Assist wholesalers and their customers with product selection, substitutions, and value engineering.

  • Deliver technical training sessions, product demonstrations, and lunch-and-learns.

Market Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and emerging trends within the BAS and HVAC markets.

  • Collaborate with management to execute sales strategies and promotional programs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in building automation, HVAC, electrical, or a related technical field (sales experience preferred).

  • Strong understanding of BAS fundamentals and common field devices (sensors, valves, actuators, controllers).

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Self-driven, organized, and motivated by uncapped earning potential.

  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to wholesaler branches as needed.
