Job Summary As the leading provider of open finance API infrastructure, powering banks and financial institutions globally, Ozone API is seeking an Open Finance Technical Analyst who combines the discipline of a strong business analyst, the judgement of a product analyst, the domain understanding of an Open Finance specialist, and enough technical capability to work directly with API specifications, validation logic, and test tools. This person must be able to bridge the gap between client intent and engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities ● Requirements analysis: turns vague client, regulator, or market input into clear,

structured requirements. ● Product definition: defines what the capability needs to do, including expected

behaviours, boundaries, and outcomes. ● Business rules analysis: identifies rules that sit outside the API specification but still

need to be enforced by the Hub. ● API literacy: can read API specs, JSON payloads, schemas, request/response flows,

validation rules, and error behaviours. ● Validation logic definition: defines what the Hub should validate, when it should

reject, and which edge cases to handle. ● Acceptance criteria writing: writes clear, testable criteria that engineering and QA

can use without interpretation gaps. ● Hands-on API testing: uses Postman or similar tools to validate that the delivered

build meets the requirements. ● Open Finance domain knowledge: understands consent, TPP/LFI roles, data sharing,

payments, service initiation, and market implementation. ● Technical communication: works credibly with engineering, QA, product, standards,

delivery, and client-facing teams. ● Leverages AI techniques: uses AI tools to accelerate requirements analysis,

documentation, gap analysis, workflow design, test-case generation, and structured review, while still applying human judgment and quality control.

● Pragmatism: maintains rigour without over-engineering the process; can move work forward with incomplete information.

Skills and Experience ● Open Finance & Regulatory Domain Expertise

○ Deep Domain Knowledge: Proven understanding of Open Banking/Open Finance ecosystems, including consent management, TPP (Third Party Provider) and FI (Financial Institution) roles, data-sharing frameworks, and payment initiation.

○ Regulatory Navigation: Experience working with (or delivery to) central banks, financial regulators, or market infrastructure bodies. Ability to translate high-level policy or market intent into structured technical concepts.

● Technical Literacy & API Architecture ○ Hands-on API Literacy: Ability to confidently read, analyze, and critique API

specifications, JSON payloads, and schemas. ○ Validation & Edge-Case Design: Experience defining complex validation

logic, error-handling behaviors, and business rules that sit outside the core API spec but must be enforced by central infrastructure (the Hub).

○ Technical Testing: Proficiency with tools like Postman to independently run API requests, validate responses, and ensure engineering builds align with specifications.

● Product Definition & Advanced Business Analysis ○ Bridging the Gap: A proven track record of acting as the "translator" between

non-technical business clients and engineering/QA teams. ○ Rigorous Documentation: Experience writing flawless, unambiguous

acceptance criteria and behavioral definitions that engineering can build against without interpretation gaps.

○ Pragmatic Scope Management: Ability to maintain analytical rigor and keep projects moving forward even when dealing with incomplete information or shifting client requirements.

● Modern Delivery & AI Leverage ○ AI-Augmented Productivity: Forward-thinking approach to delivery.

Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate requirements analysis, draft documentation, map workflows, and generate test cases, while maintaining strict human-in-the-loop quality control.

○ Cross-Functional Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to hold your own in a deep technical debate with engineers, while easily pivoting to a high-level strategic discussion with client stakeholders.

● General ○ Excellent attention to detail. ○ Excellent stakeholder management. ○ Excellent written and oral English (ideally English as a first language). ○ Fluency in Arabic and/or Spanish an advantage.
